NCFA, IRC Partner To Boost Child, Family Protection Systems
The agreement was signed during events marking the International Day of Families on May 15, with participation from NCFA Secretary-General Mohammad Meqdadi and IRC Jordan Country Director Eka Zhvania, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
Under the partnership, both sides will work to enhance Jordan’s national quality management system for childcare centres, focusing on improving standards of safety, accountability, and service quality in early childhood care.
The cooperation also includes training and capacity-building programs for childcare providers, social workers, and frontline personnel. These programs will address child protection, positive parenting practices, and prevention of gender-based violence.
Officials stated that the initiative aligns with Jordan’s national strategies on child protection and violence prevention, including frameworks related to domestic violence and women’s protection, as well as commitments under international resolutions on safeguarding women and children.
Both organizations emphasized that the partnership is intended to improve coordination between national and international actors and strengthen integrated services for families, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances.
